FAQ

    • Are you a part of a string quartet or musical group?

I am not officially a part of any musical quartet or ensemble and I perform most of my events solo. However, if you need assistance finding another musician to play with me I may be able to help. Their payments and services will be separate from our contract.

    • How far do you travel for a wedding or special event?

I am based out of Henderson and can travel by car just about anywhere. However, there will be a transportation fee to cover the gas and mileage depending on the destination.

    • Can I make special requests for songs?

Yes. It is your special day and I want it to be just the way you imagined. I do ask however, that you give me 2-3 months notice in case I do not own the music for the specific song that you request. This gives me time to order it and familiarize myself with the song.

    • How early do you arrive the day of the wedding to set up?

Typically I arrive 1 ½ to 2 hours in advance to set up. For example: If your wedding ceremony is planned to start at 5, I would probably arrive around 3:30 and begin playing background music at 4:40 as guests are arriving. For weddings that require further travel, I will account for traffic time.

    • Do you have amplification for the harp?

I do have a personal size Fender amp that I bring along to all my weddings. I have a Fishman quarter inch pickup microphone that sits on the soundboard of my harp. If your venue has a sound system or you have DJ equipment you would like me to plug into, the Fishman microphone is typically universal and works with almost every sound system. The harp is also beautiful with it’s pure acoustic sound if you have a venue that does not allow amplification.

    • When do I pay the remainder of the total?

I ask brides to pay the remaining 50% of the balance two weeks before the event date. This way it is taken care of in advance and you have one less thing to worry about the day of.

    • How much deposit do I put down to reserve my date?

Once you decide to book the date in stone, all you need to do is put down 50% of the total. I accept cash, cashier checks and personal checks made out to: Amber Lynn.
